This week our book highlight comes to you live from the RootsTech Conference, where we have this book on display along with many others we've completed this year. (Hence the less-than-perfect lighting and shaky cell-phone camera, but needs must.)
This autobiography is all about living joyfully.
Working on this book with Marlene Riggs has been one of the most joyful experiences of our careers. She positively radiates with an energetic joy that is contagious! She has just celebrated her 80th birthday and surprised her family with this book for Christmas.
Bubbles and intense color celebrate her "bubbly" personality.
Marlene, who with her husband Wes spent many years in humanitarian service in South America, loves bright "Latin" colors and wanted that reflected in her book. She also had an abundance of wonderful photos. In keeping with the "living joyfully" theme, we used a lot of circles and spheres to reflect her "bubbly" personality.
Enjoy! We certainly did.
